Year 5’s fantastic trip to Wingham.

This week Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Wingham Wildlife Park. We were extremely lucky with the weather and it really did top the day off.

With the weather being so beautiful, the animals were out and about and we were lucky to see so many animals up close. A particular highlight of the day was the penguin talk. We were lucky enough to see feeding time and also some newly laid eggs! This is the first time that the penguins have laid eggs at Wingham in four years! How amazing! We also witnessed the red panda talk and the children asked some brilliant questions.

Our main reason for the trip, was to see the orangutans up close as we have been discussing them lots in literacy. Luckily they were out and about and enjoying the sunshine too! We enjoyed a tasty lunch in the sun and a quick play in the park!

It was a brilliant day and the children behaved impeccably, as always. Thank you for a fantastic day Year 5.
