Year 4 Beach School

Last week, our Year 4 students embarked on an adventure as they traded their classroom desks for sandy shores and salty breezes at beach school. It was an afternoon filled with laughter, creativity and plenty of sunshine as the children immersed themselves in the wonders of nature.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was a much-anticipated sandcastle building competition, where the class unleashed their inner architects and engineers to construct fortresses of sand. Armed with nothing but their imaginations and a few simple tools, they worked together in teams, sculpting and shaping the sand into elaborate structures fit for royalty.

But beach school is not just about building sandcastles – it is also a time for the children to connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of outdoor play. They chased seagulls along the shoreline, collected shells and sea glass, they also splashed in the shallows, reveling in the freedom.

We extend our sincerest thanks to the teachers and staff who made beach school possible, especially Mr O'Neon, as well as to the students for their boundless enthusiasm and creativity. It was a a fabulous afternoon reminding us of the beauty and magic that can be found in the great outdoors.
