Year 3 and 4 Football Tournament at Three Hills Sports Ground

Year 3 and Year 4 students had an exciting opportunity to participate in a football tournament at Three Hills Sports Ground, organised by the Shepway Sports Trust. To make the event even more engaging, we split the classes in half and formed mixed teams with half Year 3 and half Year 4 students. This allowed the children to bond with their peers across different year groups and strengthen their teamwork skills.

The weather was lovely, providing the perfect backdrop for a day of football fun. The children had a fantastic time, enjoying not only the matches but also learning new football skills. They practised dribbling, passing and shooting, they also discovered the importance of strategy and coordination on the field.

Beyond the physical skills, the tournament was a wonderful lesson in sportsmanship. The children learned about fair play, respect for opponents and the value of teamwork. They cheered each other on, celebrated their successes together and supported one another through the challenges.

Participating alongside other local primary schools added an extra layer of excitement and provided a sense of community. Overall, it was a brilliant day filled with learning, laughter and sportsmanship. Well done to all our young footballers for their enthusiasm and excellent behaviour throughout the tournament and a big thank you to the Shepway Sports Trust for organising such a fantastic event!
