This morning, year 2 had a very special delivery waiting for them in the classroom. There was a golden egg, with a note and beans scattered on the floor. The note was from Hazel the Hen who an evil man has captured and she cannot get back down by herself. She has asked year 2 to protect and look after her special golden egg until she can return safely, which they all agreed to do. Hazel the Hen also asked the children to plant the beans, which might help her escape. But will the beans grow?
P.S. I put the golden egg safely in the shoe box for protection, as I found it on the floor!
