Something Christmassy This Way Comes...

The children have been really busy in Art Club getting everything prepared and ready, for decorating the front door to our school. We were invited to participate in The Bayle Advent Windows and were given the number 5 to have ready for the 5th of December. We are very proud to reveal our door today and hope that it brings a bit of festive cheer to the school run. Our door is inspired by the number 5, the most christmassy 5 of all 'Five Gold Rings.' In Art club, the children from Year 3 and 4 took on the responsibility of making sure our rings were as golden as they could be. The children from Year 5 used soft pastels to create stunning pears and leaves for our pear tree and the children from Year 6 used oil pastels to produce truly magnificent birds (I am sure that you will completely agree when you see them!) As well as our five gold rings we have: four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. Make sure to come inside and spot the other famous partridge who was named Alan by his creator. Well done Art Club, myself and Mrs Page are so proud of you and all of your beautiful creations.
