Recently the whole school were able to have the most amazing experience…an incredible local artist - Shane Record, created a beautiful piece of art in front of us in our own School Hall.
Shane started with a blank canvas and an idea…what he created in front of us was truly magnificent, a painting of the Warren in Folkestone at sunset.
The children were able to quickly identify the local landmarks in the picture and pinpoint where in Folkestone it was.
Shane answered dozens of questions from the children as he was working, so we were able to obtain a great insight into his career as an artist and all of the things he likes and dislikes about his job. So many great anecdotes about his career and his experience with commissions and customers.
