On Friday morning, our school was filled with excitement as we hosted a music concert featuring four fantastic bands, all guided by the talented Donald from Rocksteady. This event was a significant milestone for many of our young performers, as it was their first concert, showcasing the notes and chords they have been diligently learning this term.
The concert kicked off with Sour Apples, who energized the audience with their rendition of George Ezra's "Green Green Grass." Their performance set the tone for the morning, and their enthusiasm was infectious.
Next up was The No Name Band with a lively performance of Rick Astley's classic hit "Never Gonna Give You Up." The band’s confidence and skill were evident as they played, impressing everyone with their musicality.
The third performance came from Robo Dark Sharks in Space, who played an instrumental piece featuring the notes E, C, and D, along with low drum and snare drum rhythms. Their version of Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" had the crowd clapping along and enjoying the rock vibes.
Finally, Super Slay Queen Gummie Bears took the stage with a heartwarming performance of Marshmello's "Happier." Their harmonies and rhythm showcased the hard work and dedication they put into their practice sessions.
Throughout the concert, it was evident how much the children had learned and grown as musicians under Donald's guidance. Their performances were not only a testament to their hard work but also a celebration of their love for music.
Congratulations to all the performers for their incredible efforts and a successful concert. We are already looking forward to the next musical showcase!
