Year 3 were treated to an extra special trip to our local RE:STOCK shop. We are incredibly lucky to be only a few minutes away from this little treasure. For those of you who have not been in already, RE:STOCK offers the community of Folkestone ethically sourced products with zero waste. It is a refill shop that stocks such a wide variety of products. You take along an empty container and refill it with any of their wonderful products. The children today opted for: washing up liquid, hand soap, body wash, bubble bath, hand cream, hand sanitiser, toilet cleaning blocks, laundry soap, bath bombs, pasta and popcorn kernels ready for popping! This visit was generously funded by a local resident and was kindly hosted by Emma at RE:STOCK. The ladies helping our children today were so friendly, kind and helpful. The children were so inquisitive about the products and processes behind the company. It has certainly sparked a new found enthusiasm for the importance of recycling, reducing and reusing and ignited that conversation of how we can make a difference to our future world one little change at a time. A massive thank you once again for everyone involved today!
