Here are the fabulous pavilions that year 4 were working on in DT last term.
Everyone worked safely with new tools, including hack saws and tenon saws. They also built on their confidence in using the hot glue guns to join their materials securely. Each group made sensible material choices that were fit for purpose. They also had to think about their material choices to make sure their pavilions were aesthetically pleasing (meaning they looked good) which we hope you will agree.
The children had to think carefully about a theme that they would reflect in the pavilion. This was a tricky concept to start with but by sharing their ideas with their group and a lot of creativity they have certainly come up with some interesting themes and if these were life-size they would be great fun to explore! The children worked brilliantly in their teams and should be really proud of their final products.
