In Year 4 we have been looking at different pavilion structures around the world. The children have been learning about what a pavilion is; a light, flexible space which can be permanent but is often temporary. During our first session the children worked in small groups to use toothpicks and blu-tac to create 3D shape frame structures. The children worked hard in their groups to work as a team and create one united frame structure. The children have now designed their own team pavilion and thought carefully about what their frame structure shape will be like and how their cladding will be designed to be aesthetically appealing to their target audience.
