In Year 2, we celebrated NSPCC Number Day with a twist—bringing maths into our art class! We wanted to explore shapes and colors in a fun, creative way.
With pencils poised and paper ready, our budding artists traced 2D and 3D shapes, letting them overlap and merge in playful combinations. Some stuck to one shape, while others mixed it up for extra flair.
But here's where it got interesting: as we colored in the overlapping shapes, we played a game of color coordination. No two adjacent shapes could share the same color, adding a dash of strategy to our artwork.
The result was a gallery of masterpieces bursting with geometry and colour! Triangles danced with circles, squares mingled with rectangles, and colours popped and swirled across the page.
