Maths in Year 6. Ratio

Yesterday we started our maths lesson with some very important investigations. The big question was; Do all Smartie tubes contain the same amount of sweets? How many of each colour do we get? We found that the amount we get only varies by one in the six tubes we opened but the colours are random in each tube, one of the tubes not getting one of the colours at all! We then discussed how the ratio is found and today learnt how to write it. We then attempted to write the amount and colours as a ratio.
