Today, Years 4, 5 and 6 were lucky enough to have a zoom call with the author Katherine Rundell.
Katherine spoke about the inspirations behind her novels and how she loves to use real life situations and bring them to life.
Her latest book, Impossible Creatures, is about an island where mythical creatures live. Katherine loves to use 'what if..?' questions as a starting point to her writing and in this instance, her what if question is 'What if there were a magical island in the middle of The Atlantic Ocean, which was inhabited by every mythical creature that ever lived?'
The children sat beautifully and some are very keen to read her new book as well as become writers themsleves!
