The Ducklings class has been focusing on doctors, nurses and other people who help us as part of their learning. To bring this to life, the children set up a pretend hospital, where they took on roles as doctors, nurses and patients. Through imaginative play, they worked together to "treat" their friends—many babies were born, cuts were bandaged and even the occasional teacher was given a check-up! This hands-on activity provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their social skills, as they worked together to solve problems, take turns and communicate with each other. They also used their imagination to create realistic scenarios, which helped enhance their creativity and storytelling abilities. Overall, the experience allowed them to better understand the important work of healthcare professionals while boosting their confidence in communicating and collaborating.
