Gingerbread Houses Year 6

In our DT lessons this term we planned and created our own gingerbread houses. We worked in groups to discuss what sort of house we wanted to build and then sketched it in our books. We then made the dough and rolled it out thinly, the thinner it is the crisper the biscuit will be, then baked in the oven. The next lesson we attempted to cement them together with stiff frosting but some of them just wouldn't stay together! Eventually each group managed to build and decorate their designs and as you can see made a pretty good job of it.
