Cosy Cushions

This term our DT lessons in Year 3 has been a textile project, where the children have designed and created their own cushion. The children recapped their learning of how to thread a needle, tie a thread and running stitch from their Year 2 textile unit. This year they have learnt about applique and cross stitch, which they were challenged to include in their cushion design. The children showed excellent levels of perseverance and determination when completing this project and it has definitely been a labour of love. I am sure that you will be as impressed as I was when the children finally completed their cushions. Just look at their proud, beaming smiles! Well done Year 3!
