Clay Fun!

Gemma Race

What an amazing start to the year we have had!

The children have been brilliant at getting used to the new classroom and our routines. It’s been so impressive seeing them take everything in their strides.

Our topic for this term, Ancient Greeks, has been kicked off with the creation of pinch pots. Lots of fun was had getting messy with the clay and admiring the finished products at the end.

We are learning about the human body in science which means we get to look at how teeth respond to food and drink as our first investigation. Since we don’t have any teeth lying around, we substituted them for eggs. They are now swimming in various liquids and we will find out in a few days the effects of them – we predict another messy lesson!

Here’s to another great week next week!
