This week Year 3 became botanists during their Science lessons. They learnt that a botanist is a scientist who studies plant life. People have been studying plants for many years. We ventured over to The Bayle pond with our magnifying glasses, pencils and books to make observational drawings of the flowering plants they could see, just like Joseph Banks would have done on his exploration with Captain Cook in 1768.
