Today was very exciting in school, we had an Asia day. During worship, some parents and children introduced their country, we all learnt about Bangladesh, India and Turkey. We found out about flags, currency, famous people and places, popular sports and food along with some of the celebration events in the different cultures. Everyone was then treated to a display of some Bollywood dancing.
As the day went on, classes were invited up to the hall to do some Mandala Art and colour some national flags. There was a very popular food tasting session with a vast selection of foods to try. Chicken Biryani and salad, Kheer, Pappad and Unniappam, Pogaca, Doner Kebab and Turkish Delight and biscuits.
The afternoon involved some of Key Stage Two classes joining in Bollywood dancing workshops. The whole day was a huge success and greatly enjoyed by all. We really appreciate the effort that all the parents put in to such a brilliant day.
